The path leading to the proximity of the clastra<\/em> (a typical courtyard in traditional Mallorcan country estates, known as possesions<\/em>) is a wide avenue or romantic \u201csalon promenade\u201d with three walkways, bordered by large plane trees.<\/p>\n

At the end of a palm-lined avenue stands the fa\u00e7ade that leads to the most iconic element of the garden: the pergola with its water features, rebuilt in the early 18th century. Half of its length is adorned with twenty-four stone hydrias.<\/p>\n

Numerous water jets cross each other, turning the sparkle and murmur of water into a true gift for the senses.<\/p>\n

As you move along, you reach a part of the garden remodeled in the mid-19th century, clearly influenced by English landscaping: lush and shaded. This section includes the so-called \u201cJardinet de la Reina\u201d<\/em> (\u201cThe Queen\u2019s Little Garden\u201d), created during the visit of Queen Isabel II of Spain, also known as the Castiza Queen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The lower garden has a tropical feel and a pond with water lilies, featuring a great variety of palm trees, including garballons<\/em> (dwarf palms), an endemic and now protected species of Mallorca.<\/p>\n

As a historic estate and lovers of the environment, fauna and flora of the Balearic Islands\u2014especially the Serra de Tramuntana\u2014we raise typical Mallorcan black pigs.<\/p>\n

During the winter months, we carry out the traditional matan\u00e7a<\/em>, from which the famous sobrassadas<\/em> are produced.<\/p>\n

We also raise Mallorcan and Ibizan goats, as well as peacocks, ducks, and other birds.
You can visit and photograph them \u2014 a guaranteed hit with our youngest visitors.<\/p>\n

The Balearic Islands are among the regions with the highest number of native breeds, thanks to their isolation and limited contact with foreign species.<\/p>\n

The Jardines de Alfabia are enriched by the incorporation of T\u00eate de Femme (D\u00e9esse), an original sculpture by the renowned artist Joan Mir\u00f3.<\/strong>
The piece, on loan from the Successi\u00f3 Mir\u00f3, has been placed next to the pond, blending naturally into its surroundings and establishing a connection between contemporary art and the historical beauty of the gardens.<\/p>\n

This new addition enhances the unique character of the site, where nature, architecture, and art coexist in harmony. The presence of a signed work by Mir\u00f3 invites visitors to experience the space from a new perspective, where artistic sensitivity complements the landscape\u2019s value.<\/p>\n
